H-E-B is planning to build two new grocery stores in Odessa and Midland, according to  a report by the Odessa American.

The planned expansion, the second store for each city, is expected to add more than 500 jobs in the two West Texas communities. The new stores could be open as early as late 2015, according to press reports.

Last October, when the Business Journal noted, based on news reports, that the San Antonio-based grocery chain was looking to build new stores in the Permian Basin region, a spokesperson for the company denied the reports.
