TMRW Foods, the plant-based food innovation company, announced today their upcoming launch with two national grocery retailers Loblaws and Walmart. The partnership will see TMRW’s products available in 552 Loblaws and 232 Walmart stores across Canada. With this commitment, TMRW is set to gain 1900+ incremental distribution points, and will now be available in more than 1,000 stores in Canada.

Walmart and Plenty Partner to Lead the Future of Fresh Produce

Walmart and Plenty Unlimited Inc. announced Walmart signed an agreement to invest in Plenty, an indoor vertical farming company, as part of their $400M Series E funding round subject to a regulatory approval. Walmart’s equity investment is part of a broader strategic partnership to utilize Plenty’s indoor vertical farming technology platform to deliver fresh produce to Walmart retail stores. As part of the investment, at closing, Walmart will also join Plenty’s Board of Directors.

It’s a new year and Walmart is resolving to bring the convenience of InHome delivery to even more customers in 2022. Today, the retailer is announcing plans to scale the service, going from InHome being available to 6 million households to making it accessible to 30 million U.S. households by the end of the year. To support the expansion, Walmart plans to hire more than 3,000 associate delivery drivers this year as well as build out a fleet of 100% all-electric delivery vans.
