The U.S. Highbush Blueberry Council launched the BerrySmart Insights platform for fresh blueberries, an automated, voluntary production and historical price database that more accurately measures production, inventory and pricing, with a weekly report on supply, demand, inventory and shipments.

USHBC Launches Second Class of Blueberry Leadership Program to Empower Future Leaders

The U.S. Highbush Blueberry Council (USHBC) has launched the application process for the second class of its Blueberry Leadership Program that elevates up-and-coming leaders in the blueberry industry. The program will accept up to 10 talented, passionate professionals from across the supply chain to become the second group of fellows in the program.

USHBC Adds New Communications Director

The U.S. Highbush Blueberry Council (USHBC) and the North American Blueberry Council (NABC) have selected Kristy Babb as their new communications director. In this newly created role, Babb will develop and lead a highly engaging and dynamic communications platform for both organizations that helps unify and drive the energy and ambition to make blueberries the world’s favorite fruit. 

USDA Announces Appointments to the U.S. Highbush Blueberry Council

The U.S. Department of Agriculture today announced the appointment of 28 members and alternate members to serve on the U.S. Highbush Blueberry Council. Members and alternates will serve a three-year term ending Dec. 31, 2025.  Four of the appointments are the exporter members and alternates whose terms will expire Dec. 31, 2024, to remain in the council’s nomination rotation.

Blueberry Recipes and Resources Inspire Heart-Smart Choices for American Heart Month

The U.S. Highbush Blueberry Council (USHBC) is encouraging consumers to make heart-smart choices – like grabbing a boost of blue – in February for American Heart Month. A growing body of scientific evidence shows that blueberries can be part of eating patterns to improve heart health, especially as part of an overall healthy lifestyle. To promote more heart-healthy boosts of blue, USHBC is sharing blueberry recipes, nutrition information, research and more throughout the month.
