The establishment determined that they inadvertently mislabeled beef wiener products as beef and pork wiener products and vice versa. The products labeled as beef and pork wiener products actually contain beef wiener products that contain soy; therefore, soy is not declared on the finished product label. Additionally, the product labeled as beef wiener products actually contain beef and pork wiener products, therefore, pork is not declared on the finished product label.

AW Farms Recalls Ready-to-Eat Hot Dog Products Produced Without Benefit of Inspection

The problem was discovered when FSIS was notified by a state public health partner about these products. FSIS investigated and determined that the hot dog products were produced and distributed without the benefit of federal inspection.

Bonneval Foods, LLC Recalls Barbecue Pork Skin Product Due to Misbranding and Undeclared Allergens

The problem was discovered during routine FSIS in-plant verification activities. FSIS personnel identified soy and wheat, known allergens, as ingredients in a Worcestershire powder that is an ingredient in a BBQ pork skin product. The soy and wheat are not declared on the finished product label.
