Texas Onion Industry Wraps Up First-Ever Marketing Campaign

The 2020 – 2021 Texas 1015 Sweet Onion (TX1015) marketing campaign has wrapped up for the season. This new marketing program of the Texas International Produce Association (TIPA) was funded by a USDA Specialty Crop Grant administered by the Texas Department of Agriculture, and focused efforts directly on American consumers through a variety of platforms, engagements and awareness campaigns.

The Texas International Association (TIPA) announced a new partnership with the Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley (Food Bank RGV) at last week’s Viva Fresh Expo’s keynote luncheon. Food Bank RGV’s Viva Fresh Produce Pledge, “A Gift from Farms to Families” is a new program that will serve as a year-round collection effort of fresh produce donations to help food insecure communities in Texas.

It will certainly be a lucky St. Patrick’s Day for many as the Texas International Association (TIPA) announces that due to extraordinary interest in this year’s sold-out Viva Fresh Golf Open they have secured a second course to accommodate expo attendees.
