Stemilt Celebrates 2023 Apple Blossom Parade and the New Apple Crop

With his thumb held high, Kyle Mathison and the rest of the Stemilt founding family celebrated the beginnings of a new apple crop in the Washington State Apple Blossom Parade. On Saturday May 6, the Mathison family participated in the annual Stemilt Grand Parade riding in a 1926 Ford Model-T and the Stemilt Volkswagen Ladybug. Leading the family in this beloved spring event was matriarch Lorraine Mathison in the ladybug. She celebrated her 95th birthday last year.

Digging into a New Automated Pear Packing Line for Stemilt’s Pear Program

Stemilt’s automated pear line is aimed to be fully operational by 2024 after breaking first grounds at Stemilt Growers in Wenatchee, WA. Project SEARCH Celebrates First Internship Completion and Prepares Students for Independent Living with Link Transit

The first 7 interns to participate in the Project SEARCH program at Stemilt completed one of 3, 3-month-long internships and shared their learnings at a Project SEARCH Open House Jan 19. Eastmont Transition Coordinator, Michelle Sadewasser and Transition Specialist, Tina Gorman, share how the interns have progressed and how a Community Based Instruction partnership with Link Transit is teaching independent living skills.
