The Specialty Food Association’s (SFA) 65th Summer Fancy Food Show brought together thousands of food buyers, brokers and distributors with over 2,600 exhibitors, including 239 companies from New York, and international exhibitors from 54 nations. The SFA’s Summer Show, which ran from June 23-25, 2019 at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City, is the largest North American marketplace devoted exclusively to specialty food and beverage producers and buyers.

The 65th Summer Fancy Food Show simmered with excitement during the Specialty Food Association (SFA) Front Burner Pitch Competition at the Jacob Javits Center. Hosted by the SFA Foodservice Council and presided over by chef Elizabeth Falkner, the competition saw three exhibitors pitch their foodservice-ready products to a panel of specialty food buyers. Wild Hibiscus Flower Company reigned supreme after the scores rolled in.

Specialty Food Sales Near $ 150B: 2019 State of the Specialty Food Industry Report

The Specialty Food Association’s (SFA) annual State of the Specialty Food Industry Report, issued today, reveals that specialty food remains one of the fastest-growing segments of the food business. Fueled by increasing interest from both consumers and retailers, total sales jumped 9.8 percent between 2016 and 2018, reaching $148.7 billion last year.
