Pennsylvania Beef Council Supporting Hands-On Education With Beef & Veal

Beef and veal have been popular this past year within middle and high school culinary classrooms across the state. For its ninth year, the Pennsylvania Beef Council (PBC) with support from Formula 1 Feeds, Catelli Brothers, and Marcho Veal provided beef and veal grants to Family and Consumer Science educators during the 2021-2022 school year with over 2,100 students benefitting from the grant program. Educators participating in the program were creative in executing their lessons, extending beef and veal resources to their students in a variety of ways.

The Pennsylvania Beef Council is helping expand the Beef. It’s What’s For Dinner. media campaign to further promote beef in PA and across the country. The campaign and its related state extension are managed by staff with advertising expertise at the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, a contractor to the Beef Checkoff.

The Pennsylvania Beef Council (PBC) is sharing the message of beef and strength through a sponsorship with the NHL Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2019-20 season. The checkoff-funded effort between the PBC and the Penguins highlights beef as one powerful protein while also sharing sustainability messaging where appropriate.
