New Jersey Secretary of Agriculture Douglas H. Fisher visited Larchmont Farms in Salem County today to highlight the Jersey Fresh peach harvest. The visit took place as Larchmont Farms is beginning to harvest, pack, and ship peaches.

Harris Teeter and Titan Farms Donate 76,000 Pounds of Peaches in Joint Effort to Fight Hunger

For the eighth year, Titan Farms and Harris Teeter joined forces and donated peaches to Second Harvest Food Banks in Raleigh and Charlotte (NC). Over the past eight years, Titan Farms and Harris Teeter have continued to donate to the Peaches with a Purpose program. This year’s donation was especially impactful to local communities, with 76,000 pounds of peaches donated to local food banks, which is more than double last year’s donation. 

Jersey Fresh Shore Distribution to Feature Complimentary Peaches

The New Jersey Department of Agriculture will highlight Jersey Fresh peaches on National Eat A Peach Day, Monday, August 22, with special visits to the shore towns of Wildwood, Atlantic City and Seaside Heights where NJDA marketing staff will be on hand to distribute complimentary Jersey Fresh peaches to beachgoers.

New Jersey Secretary of Agriculture Douglas H. Fisher highlighted Jersey Fresh peaches and National Peach Month with a visit to Eastmont Orchards in Monmouth County. Secretary Fisher, along with state and local officials, toured Eastmont orchards to emphasize that locally grown peaches and other farm products are readily available around the state.
