CFIA Notice to industry: Temporary Safe Food for Canadians Licence Conditions For Importing Romaine Lettuce and Products Containing Romaine Lettuce From The U.S.

During this period, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) will require importers of leafy greens to provide proof that romaine lettuce does not originate from the counties of Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, San Benito and Monterey in the Salinas Valley of California, U.S. The temporary licence conditions also apply to mixed salads containing romaine lettuce.
