Equitable Foods Initiative, the multi-stakeholder workforce development and certification organization that partners with growers, farmworkers, retailers, and consumer groups, has announced the development and release of a two-video series, A Day in the Life of a Farmworker, that can be viewed at equitablefood.org/dayinlife. The release of the videos coincides with Farmworker Awareness Week, March 25 to 31.

Equitable Food Initiative, the workforce development and certification organization that partners with growers, farmworkers, retailers and consumer advocacy groups, is celebrating National Farmworker Awareness Week by encouraging everyone in the agricultural supply chain, government entities and consumers to share messages of appreciation for farmworkers. EFI has provided industry resources for the past several years to help bring attention to the men and women who work so hard to ensure Americans have access to fresh, nutritious food every day.

AgSocio First Farm Labor Contractor to Achieve Verification Through EFI Pilot Program

Ethical Charter Implementation Program Will Offer Growers and Suppliers Tools and Resources to Strengthen Labor Practices

Equitable Food Initiative, the workforce development and certification organization that partners with growers, farmworkers, retailers and consumer groups, announced a two-year, $2 million grant from the Walmart Foundation to support implementation of the Ethical Charter on Responsible Labor Practices. For this project, EFI is partnering with The Sustainability Consortium to help growers and suppliers strengthen the management systems they need to uphold the principles of the Ethical Charter.
