Equitable Food Initiative announced today that Rouge River Farms, which specializes in tray-packed and year-round sweet corn, now has all of its U.S. operations EFI certified. In May 2018 Rouge River Farms was the first company on the East Coast to earn an EFI certification, and today the company completes its nationwide EFI certification effort.

Equitable Food Initiative Partners With Costco Wholesale on a Joint Promotional Campaign to Educate Shoppers

To build awareness of the Responsibly Grown, Farmworker Assured® label, Equitable Food Initiative is partnering with Costco Wholesale on a two-week promotion in California, Oregon and Washington state. The campaign runs through July 5 with the goal of driving consumers to purchase EFI-certified fruits and vegetables at participating Costco warehouses.

Equitable Food Initiative Expands Into Guatemala With Alpine Fresh

Equitable Food Initiative announced that Alpine Fresh, Inc. has received its third farm certification for its growing operation in Guatemala. Under the new certification, French beans will be available in Costco Wholesale with EFI’s Responsibly Grown, Farmworker Assured label.
