OSHA Issues COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing ETS: An Initial Overview for ABA Members

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) issued a COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS).  It will be published in the Federal Register tomorrow and go into immediate effect. ABA is still reviewing the ETS but wanted to provide members with information as quickly as possible.

The momentum behind the sustainable seafood movement continues to grow, according to the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), the international not for profit responsible for the world’s most widely used sustainable seafood ecolabel. Despite disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, consumers bought record numbers of products with the blue MSC label in 2020-21.

USApple: Many Apple Businesses Will be Left Out of COVID-19 Assistance Program

Many U.S. apple businesses won’t qualify for Critical COVID-relief assistance that was announced today by the Agriculture Department, said the U.S. Apple Association. The $700 million Pandemic Response and Safety (PRS) Grant program is intended to support businesses that incurred worker housing and transportation costs, as well as personal protective equipment, testing and other related expenses. But, says USApple, the program’s focus on small producers means many U.S. apple businesses won’t be eligible.

Third Assessment of Effects of Covid-19 For Consumers of Flowers and Plants

Research agency Motivaction has studied the effects of Covid-19 on consumer’s buying intention of flowers and plants for the third time in June 2021 on behalf of the Flower Council of Holland. The research focused on consumers in Germany, France, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, and the key conclusion is that consumers still think that flowers and plants are important.
