AFE Announces New Intern of the Year Recognition Named Honoring Dr. Paul Thomas

The American Floral Endowment (AFE) has announced the Paul
Thomas Floriculture Production Intern of the Year award. Designed to recognize an outstanding student who has participated in the Vic & Margaret Ball Internship program, this new award also pays special tribute to the late Dr. Paul Thomas, retired professor at the University of Georgia, who passed away in 2019.

AFE Strengthens Bonds with Floral Funding Government Agencies

USDA-ARS coordinates funding for the Floral and Nursery Research Initiative (FNRI), a federally funded program dedicated to floriculture, nursery and landscape research. Recently, AFE took the lead on the FNRI initiative providing recommendations and identifying priorities.
