National School Breakfast Week Promotes Milk, Dairy Foods

In recognition of National School Breakfast Week March 4-8, American Dairy Association North East hosted an event in Annapolis, Maryland, to recognize the state’s successful school breakfast programs. The federally-funded programs make it possible for all students to have access to a nutritious breakfast every day – one that includes milk and dairy foods.

New Spokesperson Named for New York Dairy Industry

Reegan Domagala from Lewis County was crowned the 2019-2020 New York State Dairy Princess on February 19, at the Holiday Inn in Liverpool, New York. Having served as the Lewis County Dairy Princess since spring of 2018, Domagala will devote an additional year to promoting milk and dairy products with American Dairy Association North East (ADA North East).

PA’s Franklin County School Samples Yogurt Smoothies

Students at James Buchanan High School in Mercersburg, Franklin County, sampled yogurt smoothies on Thursday, February 14, thanks to the Hissong family of Mercer-Vu Farms, and American Dairy Association North East (ADA North East).

Schools Invited To Participate In Virtual Farm Tours

Geared toward elementary and high school students, real-time video chats provide the opportunity to interact live with dairy farmers. The hosts will show how they care for the cows and the land, and how high-quality milk is produced for consumers. Students will also be able to send questions to the farmers, who will answer live.

2019 Fill A Glass With Hope Kicks off At PA Farm Show

Governor Tom Wolf, First Lady Frances Wolf, and Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding joined former NFL star, Jason Avant, dairy industry leaders, Feeding PA food bank leaders, Miss PA Kayla Repasky, Pennsylvania dairy royalty, and American Dairy Association North East (ADANE) to kick off the 2019 Fill a Glass with Hope® campaign.
