American Dairy Association North East Awards Scholarships to 2 Former Dairy Promoters

Hannah Bonczkowski of Otsego, N.Y., was selected to receive the Dawn Houppert Memorial Scholarship and Elsie Donlick of Cortland, N.Y., was chosen to receive the Leo Briggs Memorial Scholarship, awarded by American Dairy Association North East.

American Dairy Association North East Brings Immersive ‘Winter on the Farm’ Experience to the Strong National Museum of Play      

The “Winter on the Farm” activities invite guests to experience life as a dairy farmer allowing children to use their imaginations and step into a pop-up dairy farm experience. Young visitors can navigate their way through the farm on play tractors and learn how to care for the cows with activities.

Two Scholarships Available for Dairy Promoters from American Dairy Association North East Region  

American Dairy Association North East is offering two scholarships for college students who have completed one year of post-secondary education and are interested in agriculture, dairy product marketing, dairy manufacturing, agricultural communications, journalism or dairy product nutrition. Applications are due December 31. 

Holi-Dairy Magic Campaign Targets Consumers With Dairy-Centric Recipes, Messaging

Retailers including Weis, ShopRite, Giant and Price Chopper are also promoting Holi-Dairy Magic in the dairy case in stores and online to reach digital shoppers. ADA North East is also working with retail registered dietitians who highlight the nutritional value of dairy with their shoppers.

‘Customized Communications Coaching’ Trainings Help Dairy Farmers Prepare for Conversations With Consumers

Customized Communications Coaching offers a unique training experience featuring the tools, along with trends and data and a focus on key messages to help answer tough questions. Key messages address animal care, environmental stewardship, and the nutritional value of dairy and are packaged to provide easy talking points.
