Jeremy Leister Represents the Angus Breed at the 2024 Young Cattlemen’s Conference

Jeremy Leister of Fairmont, Oklahoma, represented the Angus breed at the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association’s (NCBA) 2024 Young Cattlemen’s Conference (YCC), May 30 through June 6. Each year, a young Angus breeder is chosen and sponsored by the Angus Foundation to attend the conference.

American Angus Association Concludes a Strong Fiscal Year, Signals in 2023 Show Strong Demand for Angus Cattle, Beef Product

The American Angus Association® concluded a successful fiscal year, filled with industry-leading advances, reflection on the breed’s U.S. history and camaraderie among its membership. As a whole, 2023 marked the ninth-consecutive year of more than 300,000 registrations, with an additional 138,377 transfers. Regular and junior memberships totaled 21,981.

The American Angus Association® concluded a successful fiscal year, packed with member-wide comradery and industry-leading advances. The year marked the eighth-consecutive year of more than 304,000 registrations, with an additional 141,385 recorded transfers. The fiscal year, which concluded September 30, tallied a grand total of 22,488 regular and junior memberships combined.

American Angus Association Names Retallick-Riley AGI President

The American Angus Association® recently named Kelli Retallick-Riley president of Angus Genetics, Inc. (AGI). With a lifetime of experience in the cattle business, Retallick-Riley will lead the company’s genetic evaluation technology and research programs.
