Pacific Seafood Acquires Coast Seafoods Company

PORTLAND, Ore. — Pacific Shellfish Company, a subsidiary of the Pacific Seafood Group, Clackamas Ore., is pleased to announce the acquisition of Coast Seafoods Company of South Bend, Washington. This strategic purchase includes the Coast Seafoods sales office of Bellevue Wash., Quilcene Hatchery of Quilcene Wash., and farming operations located in Willapa Bay, WA, Grays Harbor, WA and Humbolt Bay, CA. Through the purchase of Coast Seafood, Pacific also acquired 50% interest in Kona Coast Shellfish of Kona, Hawaii, Penn Cove Shellfish of Coupeville, Washington.

The Sale was effective Sunday October 2, 2011. The President of Coast Seafood, John Petrie, who has done an exceptional job in developing Coast Seafood and his management Team will remain to oversee the integrated operations of our combined shellfish business.
