New Seafood Market Set To Open In Buffalo, NY

BUFFALO, NY — The owners of two Asian food markets have announced a seafood market for the city's West Side that eventually will include a restaurant.

The husband-wife team of Michael and Chuyen Nguyen say they will open a 2,700-square-foot facility called Niagara Seafood at 837 Niagara Street, corner of Rhode Island.

The market will feature ready-made hot fish meals as well as frozen fish, canned fish, bottled fish sauce, packaged fish treats and wrapped raw fish and will utilize two flatscreen TV sets to show items and specials, as well as seafood preparation tips and techniques. A third flatscreen will be dedicated to the oceanic sights and sounds of an IMAX "Deep Sea" video.

Patrons will be able to use cafe-style seating area while waiting for their orders. The Nguyens say the seating area eventually will become an eat-in restaurant.
