Marine Harvest USA, the U.S. subsidiary of a Norwegian company that offers farmed salmon and processed seafood to customers in more than 50 markets worldwide, signed a five-year lease on 40,000 square feet in the Beacon Centre.
The lease, at 8550 NW 17th St., begins August 1.
Marine Harvest had been subleasing space at the same location for its processing and distribution of fresh seafood. This transaction demonstrates the importance of Miami as a key sales location and distribution point for companies with both customers and operations along the East Coast and Latin America, said CBRE’s Andrew Lehrer, who represented the tenant. The CBRE team also included Devin White and David Albert. “As a distributor of perishable items, it was vital that Marine Harvest secure a location within close proximity to the airport and major highways,” Lehrer said. “Beacon Centre is the closest Class A industrial park to the Miami International Airport cargo entrance, providing Marine Harvest with a highly efficient building in a great location.”
