Portland, ME — The Maine Lobster Promotion Council is celebrating a robust harvest with the Maine Lobster Lover campaign. Launching in August, the campaign will include contests and giveaways that will make any lobster lover drool.
"Given the abundance of lobsters we have seen already this season, we are predicting another record level lobster harvest this year," said Dane Somers, executive director of the Maine Lobster Promotion Council. "And because of this remarkable bounty, we want to celebrate one of our state's most popular iconic symbols and encourage people to enjoy more lobster than ever." “Maine’s lobster conservation efforts are clearly paying off, with record level lobster harvests recorded each of the last three years. “ said Somers.
The Maine Lobster Lover Celebration will begin in August and include promotions with retailers, restaurants, and members of the hospitality industry here in Maine and New England. Maine Lobster Promotion Council will release details on the campaign in the next few weeks.
