Louisiana Chefs Thank Fishermen With Food

It's a day of rest and relaxation.

A day for Grand Isle's boat captains, deckhands and fishermen to take their minds off of the last 61-days…that oil has been spewing into the Gulf of Mexico.

Commercial fisherman Peter Clement said, “All the jobs I had I'm laid off from. I'm shut down from fishing, shrimping. This is great support for the community."

New Orleans chefs rely on these commercial fishermen to keep their businesses going.

A year ago, the top chefs rallied to help the Ritz Carlton's Executive Chef Matt Murphy battle back from an illness.
