Longshore Fisheries Plant Puts Spark In Small Nova Scotia Community

SONORA — Blair Golden started out as a caretaker at St. Mary’s Rural High School in the relative metropolis of Sherbrooke.

Relative to Sonora, Guysborough County, anyway.

His wife, Brenda, was the school’s secretary.

Through the summers, he fished eels and mussels and built a business around the produce of the sea. That was 20 years ago.
