Salisbury, Maryland – Handy Seafood Incorporated is pleased to announce that Todd Conway, President and Chief Operating Officer of Handy, is expanding his role in the company to Chief Executive Officer effective immediately. Terry Conway, who purchased the Handy Company in 1981, continues as Executive Chairman. Handy’s ownership, as well as its active management, continues to remain in the Conway family.
Todd was first exposed to Handy’s core values and goals during his high school and college years while working summers at Handy’s processing plant in Crisfield, MD. After college, Todd worked in the financial field for large manufacturing firms before rejoining Handy in 2007 as Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration.
In his expanded role as CEO, Todd will be responsible for the full direction of the business including focus on long range goals. “It’s an honor to continue Handy’s 120 year tradition and build upon the company’s growth and success,” said Todd Conway. “Our dedicated team will continue to develop and bring great seafood products to the market place with integrity.”
Terry Conway will continue to be involved in major initiatives. “I’m so proud of Todd and his accomplishments within the business over the years,” stated Terry Conway. “His leadership will continue to help Handy grow as a premier seafood company.”
Todd graduated from the University of Notre Dame and earned a MBA from Duke University. He resides with his wife Kathy and children: Jack (18), Patrick (15) and Kate (14) in Salisbury, MD.
