Chef Demonstration Lineup Announced for the 8th Annual Boston Seafood Festival

BOSTON, MA – The 8th annual Boston Seafood Festival today announced its schedule for the day-long culinary demonstrations that will help educate and inspire attendees with culinary expertise they can apply to their home kitchens. Held on Sunday, August 4th, 2019 on Boston’s historic Fish Pier, the festival’s culinary demonstrations begin at 11:30 a.m. Festival tickets are currently on sale at www.bostonseafoodfestival.org and include access to all demonstrations.

General admission tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for children aged six through 12, and free for children aged five and under.

This year’s Chef Demonstration lineup includes seafood masters from some of the Boston area’s finest seafood locations including PABU Izakaya and Crescent Hotels and Resorts.  Festival attendees can grab front row seats to learn new techniques for preparing, cooking, and presenting fresh seafood in their own homes. Lucky attendees will be able to sample chefs’ creations as they’re presented.

Now in its eighth year, the festival blends education with a broad slate of entertainment, and a full plate of seafood. The Battle of the Shuckers oyster-shucking competition will pit area chefs against one another for bragging rights, while fish fillet demonstrations, local music, and savory samples will populate the pier. The Harpoon Beer Garden, all-day lobster bake, and children’s activities bring big smiles to the crowd in what has become a summertime tradition in Boston.  Additionally, the Festival will showcase the sustainable practices helping to improve the health of our oceans, and the fish and industry which depend upon it to endure.

A portion of all proceeds support the Boston Fisheries Foundation, a non-profit organization created to preserve, sustain, and share the region’s seafood and maritime heritage. The Boston Seafood Festival is managed and produced by Conventures, Boston’s leading events management and communications agency.
