ASMI Meeting Focuses On Marketing Progress

Board members of the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute were to get an update Oct. 30 from their operational committees on international marketing, food service and retail on wild Alaska seafood sales, during an ASMI all hands meeting in Anchorage.

The board meeting comes at the conclusion of a three-day session in Anchorage, during which several ASMI employees offered detailed presentations on their sector of the overall goal of promotion of wild Alaska seafood in many venues in domestic and international markets.

Much emphasis during the Oct. 29 session was placed on use of social media and high-tech programs employed to promote wild Alaska seafood to millions of people worldwide.
