Alaskan Sablefish Unagi Style by Triad Fisheries, of Bothell, WA, has won the Seattle People's Choice Award in the Alaska Symphony of Seafood.
Triad's entry got the most votes during the Feb. 13 reception in Seattle in honor of the Alaska Symphony of Seafood's 20th annual new products judging event.
The contest, organized and sponsored by the Alaska Fisheries Development Foundation, promotes new and innovative value added seafood products in retail, food service and smoked products competition.
While the coveted Seattle People's Choice Award is based on voting by reception attendees, a panel of judges chooses first, second and third place category winners and the overall grand prize winner to be announced in Anchorage Feb. 23 at the award ceremony and gala soiree.
