One of Winn-Dixie’s Orlando stores has a new, brighter look as the Florida-headquartered supermarket chain tries to win back customers after recently emerging from bankruptcy.
The store at 2960 Curry Ford Road in Orlando got a major makeover, with bright red paint splashed across the walls, a revamped deli area, expanded products and new features. It’s the first store in Central Florida to get the treatment, even though other stores in the state have already gotten the treatment, said district manager Steve Wren.
The remodel, which debuted Thursday, comes after Winn-Dixie emerged from bankruptcy in May with plans to revamp stores and change the format of others brands such as Hispanic-oriented Fresco y Mas, Southeastern Grocers CEO Anthony Hucker told the Orlando Sentinel.
