VINELAND — Allied Specialty Foods Inc., which specializes in thinly sliced beef for Philly cheesesteaks, will open a new facility in the city by the end of 2016, about a year later than initially planned due delays in acquiring the building and land, officials said.
The facility, which the company purchased for $2.95 million and will be renovated for $14 million, will create 70 new jobs in the area, officials said.
The state Economic Development Authority granted the company $13.7 million toward the project.
