MONTGOMERY, N.Y. — State officials say United Natural Foods Inc. will build a new warehouse in the Hudson Valley to distribute natural, organic and specialty foods.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Thursday the 525,000-square-foot facility will be the second largest in the national company's network and the first in New York, employing 223 people initially and 331 as demand expands.
The distribution facility in the Orange County town of Montgomery is expected to be operating by the fall of 2014.
