NEW YORK — The food specialties of Trentino, an autonomous province of northern Italy famous for the Dolomites mountain range and for its fresh and healthy quality of life, will be available for tasting at a Tasting Event on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Eataly NY Flatiron, 200 5th Avenue, 6:00-9:00 PM. The event is open to food and wine importers, distributors and retailers, journalists and reporters, food bloggers and influencers, food and beverage managers, chefs, and food connoisseurs.
For the event on September 25th, a tasting menu prepared by Italian chefs, with authentic products from Trentino will be served along with Trentodoc Wines to promote the excellent food of this beautiful Italian Region.
The Event is part of a two-week program that stems from a partnership between the international network of Eataly and Trentino Sviluppo (the Agency that supports the local companies) signed last January, in agreement with the government of the Province of Trento, with the main purpose of making the companies of the food and beverage sector known internationally and to stimulate export.
The two-week New York program, from September 16th – 30th, is a highly-anticipated event where you can taste dishes and wines from Trentino in restaurants of Eataly, get to know producers, discover traditional recipes, and establish new professional relationships.
The program is packed and includes numerous in-store promotions dedicated to Trentino products, from wine to grappa, from cheese to honey and jams, from broth to pasta, as well as daily business meetings to create new business relationships. Citizens, journalists, and bloggers from New York will also be able to deepen their knowledge of Trentino during the events "Food & Cinema: Trentino in the plate," promoted in collaboration with the Trentino Film Commission, and "Food & Design: the flavor of the territory" will be shown craft objects made in Trentino.
