Trends, Demonstrations & More Kick Off First Day At The Florida Restaurant & Lodging Show

ORLANDO, FL – Thousands of restaurant owners/operators and foodservice professionals packed into the Orange County Convention Center for the opening day of the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Show taking place this week.  In addition to 400 exhibiting companies, the Expo is packed with exciting special events including the Food Trends Experience with 50+ companies offering tastings of new foods and beverages; the ACF Culinary Competition; the Fresh From Florida and Food Truck Pavilions; the Culinary Demonstration Stage which will feature Emeril Lagasse today at 1:00 pm; and much more.  As seen below, thousands of restaurant and foodservice professionals had the opportunity to see, taste, discover and learn about the new culinary innovations that will inspire creative and fresh menu ideas.     

Highlights for Monday, September 8th include:

  • The Roam Food Truck Academy Food Conference – 8:30 am – 3:00 pm.
  • The Leadership Summit featuring Dennis Snow, former DisneyWorld Executive, speaker and author – 11:30 am – 1:00 pm
  • Featured Culinary Demonstration with Emeril Lagasse and Ryan Vargas, Emeril's Tchoup Chop – 1:00 – 2:00 pm
  • Fine Dining – is it Dead? Panel discussion with chefs from Chefs de France, The Ravenous Pig, Cress, K Restaurant and Wine Bar- 11:30 am – 2:45 pm.
  • Big Brands Discuss: Current and Future Menu Trend featuring representatives from Another Broken Egg of America, Hard Rock Café, Talk of the Town Restaurant Group, Nestle Corporation, and Keiser University.
