DALLAS – Trader Joe's has finally set its sights on Texas.
The hip grocer, whose nationwide fan base circles its buildings for grand openings and travels to stock up on its private-label groceries, is looking at multiple locations in Dallas, Houston and Austin.
The first store is expected to open in Dallas within the year, and the initial rollout will include 10 stores in Texas.
"Dallas, and frankly the entire state of Texas, is a place we've wanted to be for a long time," said Trader Joe's spokeswoman Alison Mochizuki.
