ST. CLOUD — Sysco, the nation's largest food service distributor, has made a deal for St. Cloud's third-generation Appert's Food Service.
Appert's president Joe Omann confirmed Tuesday that there is a purchase agreement in place, awaiting final government approval which is expected this month.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
All 300 employees will keep their jobs, current pay and comparable benefits, Omann said.
"The important thing is that the branch will continue to operate here as usual," Omann said Wednesday.
