Providing an environment where foodservice supply chain partners can connect, share, sustain, succeed, and thrive was on full display as Legacy Foodservice Alliance held it’s semi-annual buying and business conference – just ahead of Pope Francis’ stop in Philadelphia.
The Marketplace 2015, took place September 20 – 22 at the Historic Loews Hotel. Over three days, The Marketplace was host to over 325 Independent Distributors and Supplier attendees from across the United States and its territories. “Our first Marketplace was held in Philadelphia in 2010, so it was good to go back to where it all started” said Steve Push, CEO – “and this was our most successful conference to date.”
Bob Staples, VP of Procurement shared; “We tried several new formats with The Marketplace in Philly – and they worked really well.” “The attendees were able to maximize their time, see a large number of suppliers and have time to see new products and get great deals,” said Staples.
“Now the effort switches to capitalizing on the great things that happened at The Marketplace in Philadelphia, and carry that with us to Memphis in the spring” said Push. “Things get done when we are all together, and that’s what The Marketplace is all about.”
