WHAT:
Stew Leonard's Newington store is offering themed cooking classes for children between the ages of five and 12 years old. The children receive hands-on instruction in preparing various products each themed around a specific holiday or event. They also learn about the importance of measuring, cooperation skills in the kitchen and the importance of food safety.
Cost is $25.00 per child, which is payable at the time of registration. Children do not need to be accompanied by an adult. Each class will last approximately 90 minutes.

Healthy Back to School Snacks
Join members of Stew Leonard's culinary team as they teach children to create their own tasty after school treats! Recipes include Easy Hummus and Pita Chips, Zucchini Muffins, and Mexican Pizzas.

Halloween Cupcake Decorating
Join members of Stew Leonard's bakery team and create spooky spiders, ghoulish ghosts, and perfect pumpkin cupcakes! Piping techniques will be demonstrated.

Getting Squishy for Squash
Join Stew Leonard's culinary team as they show children how much fun cooking with squash can be! Kids will love tasting – and preparing – some of their favorite foods (including spaghetti, French "fries," and macaroni & cheese) with this seasonal, native and nutritious vegetable!

Holiday Cookie Class
Learn to bake some holiday favorites with members of Stew Leonard's bakery team! Each child will leave with a small platter of assorted holiday treats.
