Sprouts has announced plans for further growth and expansion in the first quarter of next year.
Phoenix-based Sprouts Farmers Market (NASDAQ: SFM) will be opening eight locations sometime in the first quarter of 2017 including its first store in Florida. That location is planned for an area north of Tampa.
In total, Sprouts expects to open 36 new stores next year.
The grocer revealed in an Aug. 9 regulatory filing that Florida, the Carolinas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Arkansas would each be a "midterm expansion market," according to sister publication Tampa Bay Business Journal.
