BURLINGTON, ON – Effective Sept. 1, 2018, Suzanne Bergeron will take on the responsibility of Country President for Canada while continuing to be Vice President for Human Resources. Suzanne succeeds Barry Telford who will focus full-time on growing and strengthening the company's education business across Canada and western United States.
Between now and September 1, Barry and Suzanne will work together on the transition. She will be Sodexo Canada's first woman President. Suzanne's office will remain in Montreal.
Suzanne became head of Human Resources for Sodexo in Canada in 2016, responsible for labour relations, operational Human Resources support, total rewards, payroll, claims, organizational development, training, and talent acquisition. Prior to that position, she was in France as the Office Manager for the Group CEO where she coordinated Group Executive Committee activities, and played an active part in the creation of the company's global transformation. Suzanne joined Sodexo Canada in 2005 in Montreal. She speaks both French and English.
Barry joined Sodexo Canada in 2006 leading the Canadian University and Healthcare segments before being named Country President in 2014. In 2016, he took on the additional responsibilities as CEO, Universities West.
