RPE To Highlight Tasteful Selections Potatoes At PMA Foodservice Conference

Bancroft, Wis. – RPE announced that it has partnered with Chef Brant Good, executive chef at the world-famous Sardine Factory of Monterey, Calif. to develop a signature breakfast-inspired dish for the PMA Foodservice Networking Breakfast on Saturday, July 30, 2011.

Chef Good, a 30-year veteran of the restaurant and hospitality industry, has cooked for presidents, dignitaries and celebrities throughout the United States and abroad. Good is a Certified Executive Chef and has received a coveted scholarship to attend graduate studies at the Beringer School for American Chefs in the Napa Valley. In 2010, after a nearly two decade absence, Good returned to the highly acclaimed Sardine Factory where he began his career and became the youngest Chef of a Mobil Four Star/AAA Four Diamond Restaurant in the United States.

“I’m so pleased by this opportunity for The Sardine Factory to work with Tasteful Selections specialty potatoes,” remarked Chef Good. “The variety of sizes, colors and flavors makes for exceptional plate appeal, and their departure from traditional potatoes brings new inspiration to any dish and elevates the dining experience.”

Introduced in February, 2010, the Tasteful Selections brand is available in hundreds of restaurants and nearly 10,000 retail outlets. The line includes fingerlings and small potatoes in red, white, yellow and purple varieties and various sizes including unique marble and peewee sizes, along with standard B and C (creamer) sizes.

In addition to describing the full line of prewashed, easy-to-cook potatoes, TastefulSelections.com has recently been updated with over 80 recipes tailored to various occasions and skill levels—from “Everyday Easy” to “Gourmet Goodness.”
