Milwaukee-based grocer Roundy's said Wednesday it plans to sell one of its Pick 'n Save stores to the Piggly Wiggly chain and will also close two stores — one in Milwaukee and one in West Allis.
The Piggly Wiggly franchise store in Saukville will move into the Pick 'n Save store across the street in coming months.
"Roundy's signed a definitive sale agreement with Piggly Wiggly that we believe will provide better stewardship for this store and the community it serves," said James Hyland, Roundy's vice president of investor relations, in a statement. "We believe that under the new ownership, this store and their employees will prosper."
