EDINBURG — The Rio Grande Valley FC Toros announced on Thursday it has partnered with H-E-B for the naming rights to its stadium.
The Toros, who are playing in their first season in the United Soccer League, agreed to a five-year deal with H-E-B, the San Antonio-based supermarket chain, for the rights to call the stadium H-E-B Park. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"That brand of H-E-B is just going to enhance the brand of the RGV FC Toros," RGV FC president Bert Garcia said. "So you're going to start seeing Toros at every H-E-B store. It's going to remind you each time to come and see (coach) Wilmer Cabrera's product and what's on the field and what we're producing right now. It's something to be excited about."
