Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell stated that his team will be looking into what it would cost to eliminate the county’s grocery tax.
Earlier this year, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee signed a law that allows city governments to lower tax rates and went into effect October 1.
Mayor O’Connell gave a brief statement when asked about eliminating the grocery bill tax by saying:
