Micron Technology Inc.'s new low-energy lights are finally getting a tryout in the general public.
The company said Thursday it's installed fixtures in a local grocery store in Boise, the latest step in its efforts to broaden its palette of products that now include semiconductors and memory products.
Micron's LED lights have gone into freezer units at an Albertson's store.
The company says they allow for even distribution of light across display shelves, virtually eliminating shadowing.
