Mexican Company Buys El Paso Supermarkets

A Mexican supermarket chain has bought El Paso's two Los Altos Ranch Market stores.

The East El Paso stores began operating as El Super stores last week, after CNG Ranch, a California partnership, sold those two El Paso stores and one in Albuquerque to El Super, a California Hispanic supermarket chain owned by Grupo Comercial Chedraui, a large supermarket chain based in Mexico City.

No sales price was announced.
