Supercenter chain Meijer will hire hundreds of new employees for its stores as it prepares for this year’s holiday season, the Walker-based company announced Wednesday.
The retailer will be adding positions in a variety of departments from bakery to third shift stocking.
“Meijer is known for friendly customer service,” said Janet Emerson, executive vice president of operations. “In order to provide the service our customers expect during the busiest time of the year, we need to be sure we are staffed properly."
The retailer isn't providing a total count of the number of employees it expects to hire, or the pay range.
