Martin Bros. Distributing, which has a store in Mason City, is a 75-year-old third-generation family business that distributes food products.
Its delivery trucks are a familiar site, emblazoned with the motto "Here Comes Martin" on the front and "There Goes Martin" on the rear.
The company is planning a 77,000-square-foot addition to its existing facilities in the Cedar Falls Industrial Park.
The Cedar Falls City Council this week approved an application to the Iowa Economic Development Authority for tax incentives for the project. The state is anticipated to act on that application this month. On July 20 the council will be asked to approve a five-year partial property tax abatement for the project.
