Kroger says it plans to make a major expansion into Dallas-Fort Worth, spending $150 million to build five Texas-sized Marketplaces and expanding three others in the next two years.
The expansion is part of the biggest grocery store building boom ever undertaken by Cincinnati-based Kroger.
In the past year, Kroger has announced it will speed up its building plans by adding $200 million each year to its previous $2 billion annual capital expenditures.
