Kroger Exec: Simple Truth Is Largest Natural Food Brand In US

Cincinnati-based Kroger Co.’s natural and organic food sales have grown so fast that it now has the top natural food brand in the country.

That was one of the points CEO Rodney McMullen and CFO Mike Schlotman made Wednesday at the BMO Capital Markets Farm to Market Conference in New York.

“We believe it’s actually the largest natural food brand in the United States now,” Schlotman told analysts and investors. “If there’s something bigger, we haven’t been able to find it. Last year, we hit $1.2 billion, and we introduced the brand two years ago. It continues to grow quickly.”
