Kroger Co. is bringing Cincinnati shoppers the ability to order groceries online and pick them up in the store.
The program comes from the click-and-collect online ordering system that has been a success for North Carolina-based Harris Teeter Stores, which Kroger acquired in January.
Now Cincinnati-based Kroger (NYSE: KR), the nation’s largest operator of traditional supermarkets, has started a test program with its employees at the Liberty Township Kroger Marketplace, said Rachael Betzler, spokeswoman for Kroger’s Cincinnati/Dayton Division.
