Golubs Honored For Their Philanthropy

Neil and Jane Golub of the Golub Corp., parent company of the Schenectady-based Price Chopper supermarket chain, were honored at the International Home and Housewares Show in Chicago.

Jane Golub is the director of in-store marketing programs for Price Chopper and Neil Golub is executive chairman of the board of Golub Corp.

The couple was presented the Lifetime Philanthropy Award at the 15th annual Housewares Charity Foundation Gala held in conjunction with the Chicago trade show.

According to the announcement, the Golubs were praised for their involvement with their family business. With 128 stores located in six states (New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Vermont), the American-owned, family-managed Price Chopper Supermarkets prides itself on longstanding traditions of innovative food merchandising, leadership in community service and cooperative employee relations.
